Gabrielle King

Gabrielle is a social scientist with interests in various aspects of health and lived experience, and the interactions between those affected by diseases and research. Her PhD at the University of Edinburgh explores how people affected by the progressive condition Motor Neurone Disease encounter and experience engaging with biomedical research.

As part of the Animal Research Nexus project, Gabrielle works with Professor Gail Davies at the University of Exeter to develop and share outputs surrounding patient involvement in animal research.

Alongside this, Gabrielle works at the University of Edinburgh developing initiatives around widening participation and inclusive cultures in GeoSciences. She also does research and policy work within the third sector, and previously the civil service.
